Species include blue or black marlin, various types of sharks, yellowfin tuna, bonitos, emperor fish, sailfish, and great barracuda. Massive fish roam the seas around the island from November to April, and often into May. The ocean remains only about 70 meters deep up to one kilometer from the coast. Fishing boats can be rented at nearly all hotels.
