Singapore - The spectacular Marina Bay Sands SkyPark is one of the most famous modern landmarks in Singapore. The SkyPark sits atop the three iconic towers of the luxury hotel complex Marina Bay Sands and from a distance resembles a massive ship floating high above the city. At a height of around 200 metres, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of Singapore’s skyline, harbour, and surrounding bay. The SkyPark opened in 2010 and was designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie. The enormous rooftop platform is over 300 metres long and is one of the largest cantilevered structures in the world. From the observation deck, visitors can see famous landmarks such as the futuristic gardens of Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Flyer, and the historic financial district. The most famous feature of the SkyPark is undoubtedly the infinity pool. This pool appears to flow directly into the city skyline at its edge. It is exclusively accessible to hotel guests and has become one of the most photographed places in Asia. Especially at sunset, the atmosphere is remarkable, as the skyscrapers begin to glow and the city transforms into a sea of lights. In addition to the views, the SkyPark offers restaurants, bars, and green terraces for relaxation. In the evening, it is an ideal place to watch the light shows around Marina Bay. The Marina Bay Sands SkyPark symbolises Singapore’s modern and ambitious identity, showcasing how architecture, luxury, and technology come together in one of the world’s most striking buildings.
