Maldives - From the top, there’s a stunning view over the archipelago and the clear green-blue sea. After lunch, we go for a second dive. It’s low tide now, and the water is much calmer. This allows me to snorkel much closer to the coral, which makes the colors more vibrant. There also seem to be far more fish. Beneath me swims a two-and-a-half-meter-long moray sea snake. This predator quickly dives into a hole and shows only its sharp teeth. Not entirely a harmless encounter. Back in the boat, we’re joined by a giant sea turtle. It briefly surfaces next to the boat. On the way back to the mainland, we spot dolphins. Paulino steers the boat toward them, and dolphins surface on both sides of the boat. What a delightful sight. Paulino tries to get the dolphins to swim along with the boat by slowly accelerating. But after a few leaps through the bow wave, the dolphins disappear.
