Philippines - Maria Cristina Falls in Iligan City is the second highest waterfall in the Philippines. It is a waterfall on the Agus River on the island of Mindanao and is a highlight of Iligan City. It is also called the "twin falls" when the flow is split by a rock at the edge of the waterfall. This two-cascade, 320-meter-high waterfall lies about 1.5 kilometers from the mouth of the Agus River, which is the only outlet of Lake Lanao, the second largest lake in the Philippines. Due to the presence of more than 20 waterfalls, Iligan City is known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls. Maria Cristina Falls is located 9.3 kilometers southwest of Iligan city, right on the border of Barangay Maria Cristina, Ditucalan, and Buru-un. It is a 320-meter high waterfall and the main source of energy for the city's industry. The waterfall not only supplies energy to Iligan City but also to several other provinces.
