Costa_Rica - After the cable car ride, we take a walk over suspension bridges. Via the suspension bridges, you walk through the cloud forest. Many ivy plants try to climb trees to get as much light and water as possible in the densely grown forest. From the suspension bridges, you can see the jungle canopy and below. At the beginning of the walk, we visit the hummingbird garden. Here, special pots with liquid food for the hummingbirds hang. Dozens of hummingbirds jostle to drink. A great opportunity to take photos of these little creatures. Though it remains difficult because they move so fast. Then we walk the suspension bridge route. Jan explains the plants and trees along the way, which makes the route much more interesting. Some suspension bridges are 150 meters long and sometimes more than 60 meters high. There are seven suspension bridges in total between the trees. The bridges are sturdy and barely swing. After about two hours, with the endpoint in sight, it starts to rain. We quickly finish the route and take shelter at the reception hut.
