Greece - From Alistrati we continue to the overnight stop in Xanthi. The hotel is located in the city center. Here too, the Land Rover does not fit under the entrance to the parking lot. We are allowed to park right in front of the hotel. On the central square, a few men help us find a nice restaurant. Here we eat gyros. When we then walk into the old town, it turns out Xanthi is a lively and bustling student city. Numerous terraces and trendy cafés fill the old town. The terraces are full. It is not easy to get a free table. From the terrace, I watch the people passing by. There is a cozy and informal atmosphere in the town. A nice place to say goodbye to Greece. Too bad I’m only here one evening. Tomorrow we drive on to Turkey.
