Liechtenstein - In the center, in the pedestrian area, we order some drinks and food. From here, the walk to Vaduz Castle begins. The 12th-century castle sits on the rocks above the city. Over the centuries, the castle has been frequently modified and expanded. Since 1712, the castle has belonged to the Princes of Liechtenstein. Since 1938, the castle has been the permanent residence of the royal family. The castle is not open to the public. However, from the height, we have a beautiful view of the Liechtenstein capital. Before leaving the Principality of Liechtenstein, we visit the castle once more. Two days ago, when we walked to the castle, the sun was at the wrong angle. In the morning, the sun shines on the principality’s residence. This time we drive up by car. Much easier. The sun is shining brightly again this morning. A good combination for a nice photo.
