Ireland - Today we head towards Dublin. Around three o’clock, we enter the city. We take a city tour by bus through the center of Dublin. Along the way, our tour guide Karen gives us information about the city. We visit Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. In the city center, we’re dropped off and have a few hours to explore the Irish capital. There is an option to visit the Book of Kells, but we decide not to. Time in Dublin is limited. We stroll through Dublin’s shopping streets. Despite it being Sunday and the stores being closed, it’s still quite busy on the streets. We visit, among other places, the Stephens shopping center, which dates back to the 1920s. In a small café, we grab a bite to eat and watch a football match. It’s an important game for Ireland. Our bus driver has even placed a bet on one of the teams. After lunch, we continue walking toward the entertainment district Temple Bar. On either side of the street, we find various pubs exuding that typical Irish atmosphere.
