Ireland - In the morning, I visit the Wicklow Mountains by bus—a nature reserve west of Dublin. The bus winds along the narrow mountain roads. Along the way, I enjoy stunning views of green landscapes, steep slopes, and beautiful lakes. It’s Sunday morning, and luckily the roads aren’t too busy, as passing on these narrow roads is tricky. I step out briefly at Guinness Lake to take a photo. The dark water and the sandy beach on one side resemble a spilled pint of Guinness. In the Wicklow Mountains, I visit Powerscourt House and Gardens. The estate dates from the 18th century and offers magnificent views of the surrounding gardens. I tour the house and climb the Pepper Pot Tower in the gardens. From the tower, I have a lovely view of Powerscourt House. I walk down via the steps to the pond and return to the bus via the main staircase. After visiting Powerscourt House, the bus drives back toward Dublin.
