Kosovo - The center of the old town of Prizren is around the Our Lady of Ljeviš Church and the Sinan Pasha Mosque. Behind them lies the Prizren Fortress on the hill. Behind the fortress, dark clouds are gathering. We quickly walk through the old town’s streets. Everywhere there are terraces set up. I wonder if this town gets enough visitors to fill all these terraces. For us, there is plenty of choice to order a drink and possibly take shelter from the rain. And that rain does come. Just as we sit on the terrace, a downpour starts. Within moments, the square is flooded. Even the waiters are taking photos. Such extreme weather probably does not occur here often. The awning begins to leak, and the splashing water is blown onto the terrace. The waiter advises us to go inside. There, we order another drink, hoping it will soon clear up. It doesn’t. We go to a nearby restaurant to eat. The price is no obstacle—we eat for less than ten euros for two people, including drinks.
