Luxembourg - We walk down stairs to the bottom of the gorge. Along the bottom, we return to the casemates. From below, we get a nice view of the indentations in the rocks, but we still have to climb a bit to reach the other side. On the other side, we stroll through the park along the water. Eventually, we climb some stairs and paths up onto the rock. We buy tickets for the casemates and go inside. Through a labyrinth of corridors and rooms, we walk from one side of the rock to the other. Via narrow spiral staircases, we end up meters lower in tunnel systems, only to find it’s a dead end. After exploring all the tunnels, we walk to the exit. A special experience, and the casemates are not on the UNESCO World Heritage list for nothing.
