Slovenia - The capital Ljubljana lies in the center of the country. We continue driving into the center of Ljubljana and search for a parking spot. Most parking garages have a height limit of two meters. We need an extra 50 centimeters. Fortunately, there is also an outdoor parking area within walking distance of the old town. The Triple Bridge is one of Ljubljana’s most iconic sights. From here, we also have a view of the higher-lying Ljubljanski Grad (castle). On the bank of the Ljubljanica River, we order lunch. The weather is beautiful. Through the narrow streets, we reach the funicular. This lift takes us up to the castle. The castle has existed since the 12th century, but in its current form, it was rebuilt in 1511. We decide to walk back down, enjoying a magnificent view of the Slovenian capital. It is a small but charming and pleasant city. Around 4:30 PM, we leave the parking lot.
